I N T E R P A G E Network Services Inc. =========================================================================== Customer Update, Tuesday, May 2nd, 1995 [] Discover Card Now Accepted [] Longer Weather Forecasts Now Available [] Referral of New Users and Credit Hello! [] A number of customers have asked us to accept the Discover card, and we are happy to announce that as of May 3rd, 1995 (tomorrow), we will be able to accept the card as payment along with American Express, Visa, and Mastercard. If you would like to pay by Discover, please fax your card #, expiration date, and signed authorization (the same one on the "signup sheet" or "free trial" sheet) to +1 (617) 850-0420. You may also call us if you prefer to relay the information over the phone. (If you need a copy of the signup sheet, you may telnet to "interpage.net", log on, and send yourself a copy of the signup material (under option "R" in the telnet menu). You may also use our WWW server to retrieve a copy of the document at "http://www.interpage.net".) [] If you currently receive our "Standard" weather forecasts, you may have noticed that they were truncated towards the end of the long range forecast, and thus you were not able to see the full text of the forecast. We've corrected this problem, and you may now get the full and complete text for Standard weather forecasts by setting your pager to allow more than one page. (This will also affect your e-mail delivery, please mail to "help@interpage.net" for more information on configuring your pager options.) If your forecasts are being truncated, you may telnet to "interpage.net", log in, and select Option 4 to configure your pager. Go to Option "O"/Max. Pages to Send. Set this for the requisite number of pages, in accordance with your pager's character paging limits, so that you will receive the full text of a weather forecast. Thus, if a weather forecast were 240 characters, and your pager only displayed 80 characters per page, you would need to set Option "O" to 3. (The average forecast is about 360 characters, although this varies a bit from day to day.) This should allow you to receive the full text of any future forecasts which are sent to your pager. (If you also elect to have an e-mail copy of the mail sent to you, the e-mail will not be affected.) [] If you have mentioned Interpage's services to someone else (Thanks!), and they have signed up for service, you should see a credit for your monthly service fees one month AFTER the user has signed up and been with the system for a FULL month. Thus, is user "A" tells new user "B" about the system, and user "B" signs up on March 10th, 1995, user "A" will receive his or her credit on the invoice covering May 1 - May 31, 1995, which is sent out on or about June 1st. We would again like to thank all our users who have taken the time and effort to mention us to other people who may be interested in our service, and please let us know immediately if you feel you are owed a referral credit which was not reflected in your bill. Best Regards to all our users! -Bill Bill DeBello / Interpage Network Service Inc.
