I N T E R P A G E (TM) Network Services Inc. ============================================================================ Service Update, Thurs, Nov 2, 1995 (Please redistribute where appropriate) [] World Wide Web Fax Mailbox now available! -------------------------------------------- Hello! [] Interpage is pleased to announce the availability of our newest FaxUp(sm) service: FaxUp WWW(sm). FaxUp WWW allows any Interpage customer to receive, view, store, forward, re-fax, and delete fax messages directly from their Interpage account. By using any graphics-capable WWW browser, such as Netscape or Mosaic, Interpage customers can connect to Interpage's fax service via the World Wide Web, from any location, at any time of day or night. Additionally, FaxUp WWW works with our existing paging products: We can page any alpha or numeric pager, SMS or other data-capable mobile unit whenever a new fax arrives in your WWW Fax Mailbox. In order to use this new feature, customers will need to have a graphics-capable Web browser, such as Netscape or Mosaic. After connecting to our Web site (http://www.interpage.net) and selecting the FaxUp WWW menu, customers will receive a detailed chart of their faxes, and will be presented with a variety of options. These options include: [] View: See the fax online in its full size [] Fax: Send the fax to any fax machine, worldwide. [] E-Mail: Send the fax as a UUENCODED GIF file to any e-mail address. [] Rename: Change the fax name which appears on the fax list [] Delete: Remove the fax from your fax list and expunge it. (We will shortly be adding additional features, such as reduced size faxes, thumbnail faxes, the ability to add typed-in text and re-forward it with a given fax, the ability to add personalized cover sheets and re-forward, and the ability to send faxes to group lists created via telnet or our upcoming WWW configuration access modules.) Each option on the FaxUp WWW menu has an effect only upon the fax it is associated with - thus, if "Fax" were selected for "fax 1", only "fax 1" would be sent out to a remote fax machine. All other stored faxes would remain unaffected. ----- Current FaxUp customers may begin using FaxUp WWW immediately. From the Interpage home page, select the "View Faxes Online" option, enter your username and password, and a list of your current faxes should appear. You may then use any one of the available options. (If you opt to send faxes to other fax machines, you will be billed at your current OutFax rate. Under the "Basic" plan, faxing is 25 cents per minute.) EPOS Fax customers may immediately upgrade to FaxUp WWW by calling or e-mailing Interpage so that a WWW Fax Mailbox may be created for you. If you do not currently subscribe to FaxUp or EPOS, but would like to try FaxUp WWW, we have three options: 1. 800 Access: Interpage will assign an 800# which you will give out so that callers may upload faxes to you. The cost per minute, billed in 1-second increments, is $.45. Thus, a fax which takes 30-seconds to upload would cost around 22 cents. Montlhy charges are $15. An 800 fax mailbox which you may access from any touch tone telephone is also included. 2. Port Access: If you will only be receiving faxes from a few fax machines, such as your office, home, or a remote business location, you may use our flat-rate uploading port. We will configure our port to recognize faxes from any given set of fax machines and/or laptop fax modems. Each time a fax is received from one of these devices, it will be automatically routed to you. Currently, there is no per-minute cost for uploads via "port" access, however, there is a $10 per month fee. If you receive more than 250 faxes in any given month, there is a 25 cent per minute fee. 3. Direct Dial: Interpage will assign you a local telephone number with flat rate fax uploading. The set-up charge for Direct Dial is $99, and there is a monthly charge of $39. ----- We encourage existing FaxUp customers to try this new service, and welcome any existing Interpage customers who would like to augment their service by supplementing it with our new FaxUp WWW service. As always, we welcome any comments, thoughts, or constructive criticisms which our customers may have regarding the FaxUp WWW service. And of course, if there are any questions, or you would like more informartion regarding the FaxUp WWW service and the variety of options associated with it, please feel free to e-mail or call us. Thank you for your continued use of Interpage!
