InterTalk "Follow-Me Weather" Pager Notification



Interpage has recently added a new feature to the InterTalk (SM) 
telephone/voice response system: "Follow-Me Weather".

Follow-Me Weather allows Interpage customers with alpha pagers (and 
soon numerics) to receive the weather forecasts of 160 different cities in 
the United States on their pagers, and to update/change these cities as 
they travel from place to place. 

Thus, if you plan on traveling to Seattle for a few days, and then to 
Phoenix, followed by a trip to Los Angeles, you may receive up-to-date 
weather forecasts for these cities (or any others) simply by dialing 
into InterTalk and setting up a "Weather Reminder" as you enter each 
new city. InterTalk will prompt you with clear, recorded messages during 
each step of the rather simple "set-up" or "deletion" process.

For example, when you reach Seattle, you would dial into InterTalk,
enter "SEATTLE" using any touch tone phone (1 digit per letter), as well
as the time that you want to be paged, and you'll be all set! Interpage
will call out to your pager on a daily basis at the time you specify from 
that day on.

If you want to be IMMEDIATELY paged with a forecast, you 
may enter a time of day BEFORE/prior-to the the time you access InterTalk. 
Thus, if it were 3PM, and you had just landed in Seattle and wanted the 
local forecast paged out, you could call InterTalk and enter "14:50" 
(2:50 PM).

When you arrive in Phoenix from Seattle, you will likely not need the 
Seattle weather any longer, since what you really want is the forecast 
for Phoenix. In order to "update" your account, you would dial into 
InterTalk, delete the forecast for Seattle, and then add Phoenix. You may 
keep making such changes, or even add weather updates for different 
times of the day and/or for cities that remain on your intinerary 
which you are planning to visit and want some idea of what clothes to 
bring, etc.

It doesn't matter how many updates you add for a given city, since when you 
wish to delete that city, all you need to do is place a single call to 
InterTalk and it will delete ALL entries for that city. (You may also log 
on and delete specific entries if you prefer.)

All entries are treated as "Weather Reminders" on your Reminder Schedule, 
and will be visible there while they are active. To see your Reminder 
Schedule, telnet to "interpage.net" or send mail to 
"<your-username>-config@interpage.net", with the word "show" as the first 
word by itself in the body of the text, or go to 
http://www.interpage.net/webreach/schedule. Guests may log in as "guest" 
(lower case) without using a password.

Current Interpage customers may use the "Follow-Me Weather" service at no
additional charge other than their per-page charge which we normally
assess, if any.
